According to the latest research report of Google, the cyber attack attacks happening in the real world were the responsibility of hackers. These hackers were working for certain governments. They found a zero day way before the developers.
The hackers use security flaws way before the software developers can see it. The amount is dropping in numbers for example, it was 98 attacks in 2023 but in 2024 the attacks dropped down to 75. From which 23 britches were those that linked back to hackers. Not just any hackers the government backed hackers.
Which means the hackers who were working for their governments, we are always attacking other countries. These hackers succeeded many times. Normally this type of hacking is done to get some sensitive information and leaks.
From the 23 exploits then were those of government hackers. Five were from China and were from North Korea.
The main target of these attacks were industries like technology. They were also looking for some security software and some communicating software. The goal of these hackers was to penetrate into the sensitive information holding organisations.
The hackers wanted to access as much information as they could. So it can be used against countries at certain times. The use of cyber actors is increasing every day. Some of them were linked to China. Mostly their goal is to espionage and gather as much information as they can.
There were eight prominent cases of government breach. But according to the security engineers, it is concluded that. These attacking companies are more worried about being exposed. They do not want to stay in the spotlight. Because that will put them and their country at a great risk.
Due to the fear of conflict, these kinds of vendors were not allowed. Each passing day a new candidate appears and generates such possibilities that it gets hard to decline them.
Among the 75 attacks there were many which were targeting the consumers on a small level. Such as the customers of mobile phones and their browsing data and the others were. People from the perfect sector.
But there is good news among these dark times: software developers are working every day to eliminate these kinds of attacks. They are making it impossible for hackers to penetrate and extract information. The developers are eliminating as many zero days as possible so the exploiters cannot find any loophole while attacking.
The main reduction happened when software developers started fixing the potential targets such as mobile phone apps and browsers as well as the operating systems.
Google is doing great work because it is informing us about each breach and the working capacity of these hackers. Which makes it easier to spot and eliminate them.
