The large platform that is filled with all kinds of answers and information has its own AI chat board which provides answers that are literal to the question. It also provides the basis of the existing posts. Somehow the answer comprises summaries from the actual posts. According to the engagement and early results on the AI chat support responses suggest that the app is doing pretty good.
So the CEO of Reddit Steve Huffman thinks the users comprise two categories. The one is seeker and the other is scrollers.
Now the scrollers are the ones who want to gain information as well as take part in the conversation of the community. Credit is a platform where people engage about certain topics.
The topics are those for which the users are feeling passionate and want to talk about them. The topic can be on anything such as cooking, DIY stuff and some real life problems. This is just a simple example, Reddit is dealing with a worse topic than these examples.
However, the seekers are completely different from the scrollers. The seekers search out their questions or are curious on Google and tag Reddit at the end. Just to gain access to information and advice from real people. Because on Reddit people are talking about their real opinions and life experience experiences.
Now the Reddit CEO is not building any kind of AI agent for the seekers. Because they are not at the plot platform to engage and help each other instead they are here to gain some answers and clear their situation.
Huffman says that there are chances in the future that their usage and engagement can be used in a more effective way. After its launch in the beta set up in December credit already has users up to 1,000,000 in quantity. Reddit is working to expand its answering network outside the United States such as to Australia, Canada, India and the UK.
The AI feature is still on the navigation bar so the app can gain its separate experience in a more compelling way. From 2025 Reddit will change this approach and the AI will answer from the platform post differently. It will search on a deeper level and answer accordingly.
This will happen through the integration of the answers so instead of adding just keywords of their curry. The users will be able to search for the exact answer by typing it in the query box.
Another amazing feature that credit is going to provide with its chat board is through integrating answers from external research. So the user can get all kinds of opinions.
